That serendipitous moment of finding and reading a letter will be lost..."–Day 5 Lady Eaton College

Voices at Hand began with the question why do we keep letters and an invitation to the public to help me examine the essence of that question. The project's debut was month-long residency where I turned a storefront into a studio, laboratory and stage. I've since mounted the project in multiple venues across Ontario and interacted with hundreds of members of the public. The collection currently spans 219 years of correspondence, with a running total of close to 4,000 letters written in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Russian.
